French's Park
Great place for a picnic or to take a swim. Huge flat boulders line the beach on Lake Massasecum. There's also a nice sandy beach, too.
Directions: From Rowe Mountain Rd., in the summer, take a Right on Forest (the dirt road before Jewett). When you get to Rt 114, turn Right onto Oakdale Rd. Don’t go too far. It’s almost an immediate Right to French’s Park. Don’t take Forest in the winter. It’s not maintained. Instead, get to Rt 114 by way of Jones Rd., turning Right onto Rt. 114 and Left onto Oakdale Rd.
Henniker Brewing
